This idea is copyrighted by Harrison ( ), but as far as I remember the price for a brand new CDTV controller was XXX euros (last 6-12 months), where now is almost 100% up (reaching XXX euros).

Are they going to be rare items too?

 Remember, no price driving mate, or quoting current prices.

Regarding the controller. I think they have always been quite rare, even when the system was on sale. I remember seeing the CDTV for sale back in the day in the UK, but it being very hard to find the black keyboards and mice. And soon after it went out of production everything for the system dried up very fast.

I still want a CDTV myself as it is one of the only Amigas I've never owned.

My apologies, I always forget it. :stick:

You better try to find one. It's really a masterpiece of Commodore.

I don't think they are rare. Every Amiga reseller has plenty of them, only to the now price which has been replaced by X'es by the mods, not the other price mentioned by initial poster. The first X'es.

I even remember a discussion on a.org regarding these... (searching...) HERE it is!

I'm now looking for one (or both) Amiga 600 clones* made in China. They resemble a lot the CDTV (but have internal floppy unit), play video CD and have a different remote.

My cousin lives in China and will bring one for me if he find one.

Nothing more ATM, but (the very big) if I found one at a reasonable price, I'll let people know.

Of course, hardware pr0n pictures to follow... :D

All I know is the device was sold as a video CD player(!), nothing more.

Yes, but it says something like Amiga hardware too. It was capable of running Amiga software then? From CD-ROM or something?

From the picture it looks like it has a floppy drive too. I've not seen this system before and it looks very interesting, especially the hardware spec.

Probably be impossible to operate unless you read Chinese though.

The problem is that drive is a PC one, not Amiga-capable.
