Closed CDTV Updated Boot Roms

The itch to upgrade my CDTV is getting stronger,.. I figure I'll need to secure the updated CDTV roms before I bother with anything else.

My CDTV has never been opened! Still has the warranty seal on it. Does it have battery leakage problems like the 500+? Is there any reason someone would value an unopened machine?

There's no battery to worry about. Only antiques collectors would care about the seal, in my opinion...

Updated boot roms will allow you to run Kickstarts >1.3.

Yeah, I'm actually having trouble getting hdtools to work on workbench 1.3; the original SCSI-TV install disk had a working solution, but I can't find that anywhere (also can't get a reply from Craig at amitrix dot com). So, jumping to 3.1 is the easiest solution.
