CF Card to IDE problems

Hey guys,
i recently got myself one of these

When I try to use it with a pre-setup CF card from WinUAE it just hangs for ages and then comes up with the workbench insert disk screen.
I have tried with two different cards both being transcend 4GB and 8GB cards.

I am running this in an A600 with 3.1 roms and 4MB fast ram, 2MB chip.
The cards has been setup with ClassicWB.

Anyone got experience with one of these? I know the A600 works fine as it boots from an IDE drive fine.

Just do a soft reset (Ctrl-A-A) after power-up and it should boot from the card. You do not have to wait for insert workbench screen to show up.
Some cards/adapters do this.

Make sure the jumper is set to master and if you boot with both mouse buttons held does the card show up in the early startup screen?

I have bought a few of these cheap cards over the last few weeks and there are some faulty ones out there but I have had them exchanged no probs and double check the seating on the IDE pins regarding the postion.

I plugged it in and out again a few times and now its booting as expected.

I use those adapters all the times. cf Disks that hang for ages are mostly broken..
