this one is interesting,sortof

i wanted a spare soldering iron for my temprature controlled soldering station,i have a few(dont ask why)

its a 6 pin iron with a locking sleeve type arrangement, for the topic of this conversation it doesnt matter
but, since im the type of person that doesnt really trust sellers and suppliers,i checked the pinout against the one i already had
they dont match
i had to swap pin 6 for pin 3 and visa versa, one of those pins is earth(all the others were fine)
i dont know which one is wrong standard wise or if there is a standard, who knows, but it has to plug into my station and work

be careful out there buying spares chaps and ladies for stufff you may use on a daily basis, this could of been bad for my station internals for obvious reasons
even for hobiests out there, this is important, these stations arnt cheap really,so be careful
