A quick introduction: I grew up with various classic computers such as the Sinclair ZX81, MSX 1 & 2, Commodore 64 & Amiga and Atari 2600. After using many second hand computers from my father and friends, the first system I bought new was a 'cheap' IBM clone in 1988. Then came the 286 (20 MHz), 486DX (66 MHz), Celeron Mendocino (300MHz overclocked at 450MHz) and many many more.
Nowadays I'm a Mac user, but I still to play around with old pc's. Probably like many I you, I regarded many of my old systems obsolete and threw them away. Now I try to find and reassemble those old computers again, many of them are in need or repair. I was searching for a site like Amibay and I'm glad I've found it. So nice to see other enthusiast that love their hobby. I have collected approximately 25 systems - mainly old home computers from the eighties.
I'm currently in the process of recollecting a Pentium II system with AGP, PCI and ISA slots (preferably a Pentium II/III i440BX with ISA soundcard with wavetable and a Voodoo graphics card).
Hope to chat with you all soon,
