Hello,

I'm building an Amiga 4000 based on an original A4000D motherboard. I have to choose an ATX power supply. Previously I used a Corsair SF450 with another A4000D. But now this model is no longer available.

What is your experience and advice on models from other brands? (e.g. cooler master MWE Bronze 550 or 650W V2, be quiet sfx l power 500w...)

Regards,

Alama

Previously I used a Corsair SF450 with another A4000D.
Always had Coolermaster in the big towers, but then switched to Corsair, they are very reliable, so stick with it!
The VS500 is not SFX, but it is about 50 euro's or 50 dollars, and that will work

Which power supply did you go with? I’m in a similar situation but this is my first build.
You can pick up Corsair SFX 450, 600 or 750 PSU’s off EBay. This is what I have done. Even opting for a 600 version as sometimes they are cheaper. Then using the A4000 power cable made by @a.mi.goun

"Always had Coolermaster in the big towers", are you talking about A4000T?

An update from my side - I've ordered a Be Quiet SFX L POWER 500W, as seen it mentioned a few times and the fan is always on which is good for the 4000D airflow.

i changed several PSU for my towered A4000 heavily expanded and i can suggest you to use a good adapter that provides strong 5V rail.

i bought one of this https://www.amibay.com/threads/a400...or-modular-corsair-and-seasonic-psus.2442346/
and i can give you a very good feedback about the amiably member that gave me the solution to the power supply problems i suffered for years.

Good remark.

I didn't found any Silent Pro. Everywhere out of stock. Is the Cooler Master MWE 750 Gold V2 a suitable choice? Or a Corsair RM650 ATX 650W ?

The Corsair is better and quieter and ATX 2.53, not that matters in an Amiga, but it's also a bit better priced
