Hello,

I'm interested in buying C1084 monitor locally... However upon my request, seller has sent me picture of "working" monitor... As I never owned one before I need help to determine if this picture represents working or broken unit? Apparently nothing has been connected to it... I would appreciate help and input, it would save me 100km drive this evening for nothing. Thanks up front!

Problem is, that you can't really capture a still of a CRT, coz it "flickers". Ask him to make a video, of coz. it still flickers, but then you'll be able to see more.

Yeah, I'm aware of flicker, however angle of lines is a bit confusing...

its working, what your seeing is the raster...all his done is turn up the brightness so you can see it...alternatively all he had to do is connect something to the composite port and send it a pal signal...like a dvd player
try to get him to feed it a signal, and take another picture, easy to do

it looks like a 1084-P or 1084S-P....which is a philips cm8833 derivative

angle of lines might be his camera
