Commodore 1084s refurbish

Hi,

Anyone changed the aging capacitors in such model? If so, anything else is worth as prevention - any known to fail regulator or maybe some IC?

My local electronics repair shop, which has been in business for over 4 decades says: replace caps only if necessary. My personal recommendation, buy a few spare power switches and have a flyback for it too, as shops may not be able to find it if you need it for future maintenance.
