With the joystick switcher you can change the joystick port without the need to manually unplug and plug it again.

This new version includes a high quality injection molded translucent blue box, not 3D printed. HASL Lead free PCB.
Very easy to use, plug it with C64 off, plug the joystick, switch on C64 and press the button to change the joystick port. 2 leds show the active port.
Provides ESD protection for the C64's CIA's as there is no direct connection from the C64's ports to the joystick inputs.
C64 and joystick not INCLUDED.

For sale also elsewhere at a higher price.

Price: 35€ + shipping.
Paypal friends & familly or add 5%.

Shipping registered mail with tracking 9€ Europe 12€ rest of word.
Untracked shipping also available, 3.5€ and 5.6€

This also works with c128dcr?
It works with normal C128, I don't know if the distance is the same in C128DCR.
If you have a regular C128 or C64 you can compare them, but I think that it may block the keyboard connector.

Thank you for the picture I think the 90 degree angle from the original port will conflict with the 25 pin keyboard connection on the 128dcr. See here for reference:
Yes, it will conflict with keyboard connector.
I can use a bigger enclosure, and make something like this, it will block the drive reset.

The distance between the connectors appears to be the same, but I can't be 100% sure
