I initially wanted to keep this one but then again.. I wanted to keep a whole lot more so I am also letting this one go.

The story behind this one is that a friend of mine, who lives in Tokyo and used to have a C64 back in the days, bought this about 10 years ago. The machine made it to one of these small technology shops you find in downtown Tokyo (area called Akihabara). He bought it thinking it was a Japanese C64 but quickly figured out it was not (lol).. in the end he sent it to me in trade for a C64 setup.

I have not come across another one of these Pilot/Proto versions. Maybe you can find more of these in Japan but it is the only one I have seen.

I ship within the EU. Postage costs are extra. Either IBAN or PayPal accepted. Additional wire fees are to be covered by the buyer. I have a blackbelt in packaging! Also offered elsewhere.

I am asking €500 for this one.

@iRetrOVolver:

I clearly remember you had a few boxed Commodore MAX units in that warehouse of yours.
Were they not the same model/type? (pictures look identical)

The issue is that nobody can use it. You need an old Japanese analogue TV as the modulator is for channel 1/2 only. There are some older US TVs that will get you a picture on channel 95/96. Other than this no monitor output.

The warehouse with the stock buyout was more recent. I had indeed three of these machines boxed and although we are not allowed to discuss prices, let's say three digits were surpassed as they do work. You just need a cart with a 16K game and via an RF modulator you even get a picture. Albeit being NTSC, they work.

Only difference is the label at the bottom, some chips lacking an ID and Rev A board as the ones I sold were Rev B.
