Today I thought I'd have a go at setting up my own CF hard drive with ClassicWB Workbench 3.1.

I followed Fitzsteve's tutorial to achieve this..

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zd42RsKHm5Y

..and I can't thank him enough (especially since the WB3.1 discs I used, he supplied when I originally purchased my A4000 from him).

It's much easier than I thought it would be.

Plus, there are things I wouldn't have known otherwise e.g. the pressing return to update the text gadget bug, setting the max transfer setting for each partition to 0xFE00 and making sure each partition does not exceed 2GB.

Here is my nice new workbench for my A4000.

Next, I want to give a bigger CF card a go. Possibly an 8GB and go from there.

I'll follow another of Fitzsteve's tutorials to achieve this..

..thanks again Fitzsteve for your help.

Here's the Homer image if anyone wants to add it to their workbench patterns collection:

All it is was, I traced the image from a cell I found using Google image search and then coloured and added a screen-grab of aminet.

I will shortly be having a go at prepping a 32GB card with the help of WinUAE and Steve's videos.

Hi, thanks for sharing - I'm really pleased my tutorial helped :)

The backdrop looks really cool.
