I want a compatible sound card for my SAM Flex board. It must be 3.3V or both 3.3V and 5V. Only 5V will not fit on the mobo. Also it has to be with the EMU chip, to work under AHI (Emu10k2).

:thanks:

Yup. I know that, also Audigy series will work too. (y)

About SB Live!, that one I've got is only 5V, which cannot be fitted in the PCI slot of SAM. Only 3.3V or 3.3V + 5V are compatible. :stick:

I have a SB128 too, but it has some ES1731 chipset, not the emu series...

Let me look around I think I have an SBLive! 24-bit card that's not in use. I'm pretty sure that's 3.3V or 5V has the two pieces removed from the connector right? Let me know.

-Edit- Okay I've looked and I cannot seem to find it right now but if I find it I will let you have it. I just want to make certain that the 3.3V or 5V is indicated by having two notches missing from the PCI connector.

SB Live! 24bit

SB Live! 24bit

Okay I found the card that I was talking about it is indeed 3.3V or 5V. I can't tell you if it has the EMU10K2 chip on it. I couldn't find a chip labeled that. I still even have the box for the silly thing. I cannot find the Windows install cd though.. Please take a look at the card and see if it is what you are looking for.

Nathan

PS - Sorry the pictures aren't the clearest. I just couldn't take a picture this morning. I need my breakfast I guess.

Euuggh! Those pictures are terrible let me translate for you the chip on the card says (Obviously) Creative CA0106-DAT The model is an SB-0410 I hope that helps

-Edit- I've looked around and I cannot find the EMU chip this uses, however if this is helpful, this card is essentially an original Audigy with no firewire and re-badged as a SB Live! Hope this helps.

@ Nathan

No Game Port on this card then?

Kin

yeah, it was left out like in all modern sound cards... and with good reason as all good pads/sticks/etc are usb...
Soon to follow are the ps2 ports :sigh: , many higher-end mobos don't even have them (not to mention serial/parallel ports that silently got dumped too...)
personally the only thing I don't miss is IDE. those flat cables were a nightmare! LOL
