Yup, that's right. I've heard that there are some cables to connect your Amstrad to a TV, but what about 1084S?

Is it difficult?

It needs composite connection I presume, and something to get power from, as Amstrad gets power from its monitor!!!

Ah Alan Sugar....

Amstrad fun

Amstrad fun

The Amstrad will run from a modified PC Power supply. It requires 5v for the computer, and the 664/6128 also take 12v for the internal drive. I am running mine on an external 3.5" floppy, so only need the 5v connected. I did manage to buy a 3a 5v Powerpack from t'ebay for pennies, which works brilliant on both the 6128 and 464.

The video output port can be simply connected as scart. It is an RGB output. Pinouts are availiable all over the web. If your monitor can accept a scart compatible input, then it should work with a simple connector.
