Closed Datel CD X Cartridge for Mega CD 1 Consoles

I have one of these for sale, ebay don't seem to like them, so I'm selling it here!
It's the version 1 that works on a MegaCD 1, I tested it on a MD1 with MCD1 and it ran fine - but I also tested it on a multi mega and it didnt support that operating system - I have not tested it on a mega cd 2. Its in pretty good condition, but the plastic tray part of the box is quite cracked

For the uneducated, can you tell us what this is/does?

It allows import Mega CD games to be played on other region Mega CD consoles - it also allows you to use an NTSC MD with a PAL Megadrive (I tested it this way with some Japanese discs)
