I spent a good few hours going through a GVP 530 Turbo tonight!

I sacked out the 3 x incorrect screws holding the top cover on and fitted some brass stand off posts ready for a zulu or bluescsi.

I noticed one of the top cover screw posts, has developed a small tiny split/crack. So I gather at some point it is going to fail :(
I tried hard to find suitable screws that would not stress anything and still have a good hold.

I am interested to know anyone's experiences with sorting things like this out!

Tia :)

I've had pretty good success by filling cracked and/or split internal plastic screw posts with hot glue. Let it set fully then gently trim off any excess.

Use a small drill bit to make a starter hole for a suitable screw such as a self tapper.

I've seen people use a combination of baking soda and superglue in the past but the end result is not very pretty, and definitely not an easy task to remove any overspill.
