PC Engine

PC Engine? I got about 20 games so far and they are good to collected due small size!

I used to have Neo Geo Aes console but it been very very slow building games up and it is very expensive to own original game even thought they are worth it due value that go up every year!

I think that about it :) Phew! :lol:

What about you?

P.S. So good to collected if your room is small would be PSP games, pc engine games,Gameboy Advance games and i cant think of anymore and maybe you could added the lists:)

I quite like to collect the rare games or systems, I'm more about quality over quantity. I'm a sucker for Japanese versions of Games, I like particularly the packaging but I don't have a numbers goal. My main goal is to actually try and play all my games :)

yes my goal is to let as many people as possible see/use my Walker.

and also to let as many people as possible use all the machines i have at events/meetings.

no interest in boxed/unused kit, like having a supercar parked in a garage, just not what it was made for :)

At the risk of sounding stupid, what's your Walker Justin? Ah just googled, nice!

I like to read what others are up to, can see where their interests lie! I've slowed down a lot lately, mainly due to spare money for it, also like Steve says, I've got to start playing them. There's plenty on my wants list but hopefully I've got a good few years left in me to find them. Sometimes I feel kinda burnt out and start thinking do I really want/need it. But I'm also about quality not quantity and only keep it if I'll play it. I'm also not a big Zelda fan, not a Pokemon fan at all, not a Final Fantasy fan at all, not an expensive RPG fan at all, not a Megaman fan (hides) and I don't collect SNES/NES stuff (I'm a Sega guy) and it's too expensive :)

Goals
====

Ongoing: only buy what I'll play.
Reletively new goals: slow down a bit, aim towards a few of the more obsure/rarer but only if I'll play it.
Start playing what I have, tidy out what I don't need, and, continue to be proud of my little collection, regardless of what it has or hasn't got.

Here's where i am:

Sony
====

PS1: 17 games. Not a big PS1 fan but I have most of it's first person shooters/racing games I like. Probably 5 more I'd like
PS2: 54 games. Probably another 15 I'd like. Again, it's only cheap games I like.

Microsoft
=======

Xbox (Original): 7 Games, I dont really 'collect' for it, just one's I've picked up
Xbox 360: 32 games. Probably another 20 I'd like

PC
==

Big Doom/Quake/Duke3D/addons fan. Aim to pickup D1 on floppy if I come across it.

Sega
====

Master System: 23 games. Probably another 25 I'd like
Megadrive: 104 games. Probably another 30 I'd like
Saturn: 2 games. Sega Rally & Sonic Collection. All I need :) (well, an actual console would be nice)
Gamegear: 14 games. Probably another 40 I'd like

Nintendo
======

GB: 12 Games. Probably another 15 I'd like
GBC: 14 Games. Prob another 15 i'd like
GBA: 41 Games. Prob another 15 I'd like
Gamecube: 53 Games. Prob another 15 Id like
Wii: 32 Games. Prob another 15 Id like

Atari
====

2600: bout 15 games. Maybe 3 more

Commodore
========

Amiga: 20 games or so from my youth.

About it really. Hope I havent rambled too much,

I don't *really* have much in the way of goals, apart from only buying what I'm interested in and will play - the same quality-over-quantity thing as most of the rest of you who've posted so far.

I don't care about completeness, and usually make an effort to buy loose games - I don't want to collect things to death, because games are toys and are meant to be played with!

My only active goal at this time is to track down Ghost Battle for the Amiga, so that I can complete my collection of the Henk Nieborg & Erwin Kloibhofer platformer lineage, of which I have three out of the four. :thumbsup:

I'm also not a big Zelda fan, not a Pokemon fan at all, not a Final Fantasy fan at all, not an expensive RPG fan at all, not a Megaman fan (hides) and I don't collect SNES/NES stuff (I'm a Sega guy) and it's too expensive :)
Well, most of those games (bar Pokemon) were never really big in our country in their heydays, due to Nintendo not having much of a foothold here in the NES days, and due to none of the Final Fantasy games before 7 being released here at all, and thus they didn't form part of the bedrock of gaming culture here as they did elsewhere. Given this, it's only natural that quite a lot of British gamers aren't huge fans of those titles. ;) In reverse, of course, many folks from other places aren't huge fans of Dizzy, Manic Miner, and so on, for the very same reason.

I suppose I have already reached my primary goal which was to get my A4000 working again. It would be nice to eventually get a RTG card and a fast accelerator for it but not essential. Would love to get a full HID USB solution for the keyboard and mouse. Not that I've even seen or heard of one for the keyboard. My current one requires the PS2 protocol which is rather limiting. I've had great fun striping and fixing a dead A500+. I am just enjoying the nostalgia and the journey of discovery of the new old mainly :)

I've not set a specific goal. The stuff I have is based on either nostalgia, design or some other interesting aspect. I pretty much have all the retro computers I've wanted except one: a Memotech MTX 512.

There are a few achievent highlights, which could be seen as goals in retrospective. First is my Amiga 4000 which is without a doubt my most valuable retro computer. Having used an Amiga for a couple of years since I got my first on 2005, I began to feel I wanted a high end Amiga and the A4000 seemed the most versatile one.

Second retrospective goal(s) are my Commodore 128 and 128D. I've wanted a 128 since kid and eventually got one for free. The D model also intrigued me and I really hit the jackpot, when I found one from an electronics recycling center.

Third is my Apple IIGS. It really caught my attention, when I read a review of it in 1987. When I started collecting ten years ago, I hoped I could find a IIGS at some point. When I turned 40 last spring, I decided to shell out for one as a birthday present for myself.

In a way most of my computers have been goals but they've not been any long term goals. One by one they've caught my attention and I've then set a goal of getting one.

Well, maybe one goal would be getting my Vampire 600 reassembled and finally working properly in my A600.

I'd like to complete my Amiga collection with the tower versions of 3000 and 4000 someday. But I don't believe that I will ever complete this goal because of the high prices. A decade before, I was about to start collecting all the CD32 games. Finally I ended up with just four games!

Aside from many goals playing SWOS to death...

A complete PAL Sega Saturn collection, a PowerPC A4000 with networking, and I want to design and produce my own Zorro 3 compatible expansion card that does fast secure compression/decompression to go in it (lzx and lha compatible).

I also want to make bring happiness to my friends, family and even possibly enemies as well.

...only thing is though that I don't consider any of it retro. They're timeless to me.

I'm going for full sets on the Atari Jaguar, Jaguar CD (when I get the hardware) and the Sega Mega-CD.

I also keep buying Master System games but I probably won't go for a full set as that means getting over 250 games!

My goal is a bit different. Sell everything I have. I've collected stuff for many years and now it's time to embrace other things.

My goal is streamlining my collection into only what I will play. I've already sold most of my good stuff consolewise. However my digital collection is growing recklessly as it's hard to resist a good sale on gog, humblebundle or steam.

I also want to get my A4000 into networked quake-running shape for a project I have.

I have made myself a "best of" Amiga HD, based off many cherry-picked top 100 lists and some of my own preference, which is 90% complete.

C64-Raspberry Pi-keyrahi-old computer retro setup.

I had a Quake DM running with my A4000T/CS060/PIV, A1200D (with BPPC/BVision) my AmigaOne and my PC.

It was pretty damn cool to see the old and new all talking to each other :D

Sadly I didn't have any friends round at the time to play it :(

I believe our overall plan is getting one of just about everything (at least 8 different computers/consoles) able to run the game in the same room and have a deatchmatch, from Amiga to Dreamcast, DSi, PSP, etc etc.. don't even know if it will work yet. With luck we'll get it going and make a showing at next year's ECCC/Vintage Computer Show in Chicago.

My plan is getting one of each console made by Nintendo, Sony and possibly Sega and Atari and also getting the most popular computers - C64, Amiga, 286, 386, 486, Pentium/II/III. I'm also into operating systems for those computers- GEOS, Workbench, DOS, Windows. Maybe it's stupid but I'm after game series - Final Fantasy, Super Mario, Zelda, King's Quest, Space Quest, Leisure Suit Larry, Monkey Island, Indiana Jones. I'd like also to complete the top 25 or so lists for the different consoles/computes but excluding shooters, racing, simulators, most sport games.

No goals. Just to collect some nice stuff to enjoy, learn something new, preserve them where possible, but most importantly to meet new people from around the world with like minded interests :thumbsup:

QFT :)

Cull my collection a bit, 100, ps1, ps2 and ps3 games, boxed ps2, boxed original PlayStation, boxed ps2.
Get as many pal Dreamcast games as I can afford, Only system I want to try and get a full set for.

Fix my C128d so it reads disks, retrobrite it and generally clean it up.

Amiga.. Maybe try and get my Apollo modded for 64mb and maybe 060, as its meant to be possible with the -15 Mach 130?
Get a boxed A500 and A600.

So many ideas, so little money.

Same here!

No goals, but have begun to set myself some limits. Who needs 9 C64s. Or 8 Megadrives. Or 7 N64s. (i could go on)...

I actually started to write down my collection manifesto recently. Thuthfully, that was mainly driven by lack of storage space and funds, but it does feel good to have set at least some limits (although they're not that strict - yet).

Here it is:

Consoles/Handhelds:
- no clones, real ones only
- different models of the same console ONLY if they are distinctly different (N64 JP and PAL look the same, NTSC SNES and PAL SNES do not...)
- one of each, bar a spare here and there
- preferrably boxed, with manual, best possible cosmetic and working condition
- if the console has a way to be modded, or has a flash cartridge: go for that
- others: collect games
- don't need/want every variant of controllers, do need enough main ones, and a gun (nes,snes,smd) or mouse (snes/dc) is nice to have
- aim to have a spare standard controller for each (1 more than the amount of controller ports)
- modding: modchips, rgb mods, regionless mods, wherever possible

Retro computers/portables:
- no need for all boxes/packaging
- manuals would be nice though (english)
- one of each (bar a spare here and there)
- working and best imaginable cosmetic condition
- don't collect all peripherals, but only common (or signature) ones
- keep original software disks when present, but try to go for a flash cart like solution where possible
- no need for branded monitors (exceptions exist), the Sony BVM/PVM screens will suffice
