Hi everyone,
So does anyone of you know a free DOS reliable benchmark utility?
Any help is welcome,
Thanks in advance

MIPS: not so reliable but can compare versus the classic Compaq 386.

Norton SysInfo: reliable.

SpeedSys is very good (http://motherboards.mbarron.net/download/dostools/sst470.zip)

and PCPBench (attached here: http://vogons.zetafleet.com/viewtopic.php?t=16669 )

Can't think of anything else, SpeedSys benches cpu/cache/hdd and PCPBench "real-life" software 3D rendering performance

I used dos in the past so I looked around at norton utilities for dos and pc tools for dos.

None to avail.

Then I remembered there is one thing to note about dos. It runs in real mode. (8086 mode)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Real_mode

So if you like to bench mark it you'll need to get out of that mode, and then you are looking at dos games and fps. So I think to your question dos mode : not much to be found.

Good luck with this.
