Hi all, i have a dreamcast and the internal battery is dead. Everytime i turn the machine on it asks me to set the time and date. I'd like to replace the battery but have discovered it is a rechargeable coin type. I can find a straight rechargeable replacement for about £5 but i have some cr2032 coin cells and some battery holders here that i'd like to utilise if i can save the pennies. Would the same procedure as the Amiga battery replacement suffice? I.e. would placing a diode in the circuit prevent the DC from trying to charge the non-rechargeable battery? and if i recall correctly the diode goes on the Positive side of the connector?
Thanks for any help provided.
Mike
