Before I waste time/money, is there any reason why I couldn't run 2 IDE hard drives in my A600 using an IDE splitter?

1 drive I already have as my CF Card to IDE adaptor with WB3.1 etc on it

I'd like to fit a second using an SD to IDE adaptor and ideally fit it with a slot somewhere in the case so I can move the SD card between my A600 and WINUae for file transfer.

Thanks in advance.

Hello, back in time i used two devices attached to my A1200's IDE port, however it didn't work quite much as i had expected.

It's a much better idea to buy an IDEfix device that will solve all the problems inherent to the Amiga IDE port, and improve data transfer rates.

However, related to the exchange of information with UAE, or your PC, i believe you could use a PCMCIA-CF adapter having a CF card formatted in FAT.

You will be able to access the CF card as it was a hard disk... Both sides, Amiga and PC.

Thanks DyLucke, I looked on AmigaKit for such a device and they are now selling a buffered splitter which I'm sure I've never seen on their before. I'll grab one of those. Thanks again.
