So over the last few months I've got a nice collection on the go.. 3 A1200's 4 600's and an immaculate 500 (are they supposed to be badly made tea colour?) along with a plethora of power supplies and sundries...
I've got my main 1200 that I use as a work horse but I think its an Escom?!?! It basically refuses to run games from a floppy. Has an ungodly white case and the case badge is "Amiga" with a red dot over the I... Also it's a 1D4 rev motherboard and came with 3.1 ROMS so I'm guessing its an Escom
I've tried another floppy but it just plain does not work! I've not opened the other 1200's but they all have commodore badges so I'll assume they are commodore machines.
From my sparse description can anyone confirm my suspicions of the Escom roots of my main 1200?
If it is an Escom its got to go (I want a Commodore Amiga) so I'll have to swap it for one of the other 1200's but I've heard about timing issues with non 1D4 boards and ACA accelerators? Also I've added a Indy to it and I'm a bit worried about taking it off.. It fits tighter than...well, a tight thing that's going to break when I take it off.
Any advice the pro's can give will be greatly appreciated
