Want to buy an EZ-Z4 Tower for my A1200 Tower Project. Preferably in the UK due to postage but will consider offers outside the UK.

Please PM with offers please.

*EDIT* Will consider any Tower now, not just EZ-Z4.

Where in the midlands are you?

I'm pretty sure I have two towers here, one is a custom made black with boing ball window (made by Justin) the other is a power tower.

I'll need a day or two to dig them out and check before committing to anything though.

Thanks! I'm in Nottinghamshire, NG17 area!

Definitely interested, i'll let you sort your self out and wait for your reply!

I think Justin's Tower was for an A4000?

The Power Tower is a good sturdy case, I'd recommend it. It's not the prettiest but it's easy to work with as the Motherboard is housed on a detachable tray, oh and did I mention it was sturdy? :ninja:

Also supports the Mediator PCI if you want to add one later. Or the Elbox Z4 Busboard (this also has a optional Mediator PCI addon and optional FastATA attachment)

@Steve, Its the one in this thread It may have been a 4000 tower at one time but it definately houses a 1200 board at the minute.

@BarryB, im in NG5 so not massively far away, i'll try and sort both out tomorrow and let you know.

Another project for you eh? :D I'm guessing you have an angle grinder and a rivet gun in your man cave :coffee:

In fact if you can get the rear panels machined for A4000/A1200 it should be easy enough to convert a PC case.

Ah, yeah I remember he had an A1200 later, it did have an A4000 in there originally so he must have adapted it for an A1200 later.

i think the cases would be the hardest thing to get.
and they just have to be a certain height for it to work.

atx server tower cases maybe? there pretty cheap i think and lots of room inside.

Good lord, that Black Tower looks HUGE :o It's not a wardrobe painted black is it?

scrappyshinx, can you post dimensions of both towers please? Might need to get planning permission to install

Just dug out the two towers,

First up is the power tower

Depth is 44cm
Height is 45cm
Width is 24cm

Has 2 floppy drives (1 internal, one comes out the back and connects externally) installed and a DVD rom (no IDE cable). Also has the led, power, reset board, power supply and a keyboard adaptor installed. Is missing two front bezels though. I have no idea if any of the installed hardware works as there is no board installed so cannot test them.

The black custom tower

Depth is 42cm
Height is 63cm
Width is 20cm

Has a black (painted) floppy drive, DVD drive, power supply, keyboard adaptor and some small lights (to light the boing ball).

Again I have no idea if any of the hardware works as again no board installed.

As suggested previously this was originally an a4000 tower so has been cut and filed to convert for a1200 use. There is also a chip in the top left corner of the front plastic.

Let me know if either interest you.

Of course you'd be welcome to come view them in person before making a decision.

The Black Tower is just too high as it won't fit under my desk (it's even taller than my PC's HAF932 case an that's 59cm!!), but the Power Tower will fit nicely under my desk

So it looks like the Power Tower is the Winner  (see what I did there).

PM me with price or post it in the thread if you want, and thanks for digging them out so quick and providing pictures

Payment received and power tower sold. Hopefully see you Thursday for collection.

Power tower collected. Thanks BarryB, nice to meet you and hope to see some pics when your tower is done :)

Positive feedback left

Cheers scrappy, positive feedback also left! Nice to have met the person behind the nick

Plan A is a classic build with no busboard, start easy, then Plan B will be the full monty

As soon as I get all the bits to assemble a working system I'll post pics in the Photo Booth of the build!
