Hi.

I'm looking for a FAST ATA MKIII for my desktop A1200.
This one also have an Indivision, so i need everything necessary to plug both of them.

Thanks.

Still on topic, as I'm sure Xanxi would also like to know... (unless he already knows) but...

Does anyone actually know if these are going to be available new from Elbox ever again??

Thanks for the info. But why 4 sockets as only 2 ROMs?
Will i need to unmount my indivision to fit the fast ata (i do not have the pop out issue although i have an HP Lisa, may that continue as long as i do not mess with it :) )?

@Xanxi

Some time a go I have FastATA MK-III & Indivision installed on my A1200D. Both boards are very hot after half hour of work.

I don't know but I needed to install a little fan near the two boards & ROM risers helps me to have a better air flowing.........

Stock of this board on Elbox, Amigakit, ASB & Vesalia are out, look at: http://www.softhut.com/cgi-bin/test...tors/eide_4way_ide.html&cart_id=3301455_31831

or wait an offer from any AmiBayer....

Why so hot as it's only an IDE adapter?
I disklike noisy computer so i try to avoid any fan, i barely stand the hard drive noise.
What about my question about mounting the FAST ATA without dismouting the Indivision?

@Xanxi

FastATA MK-III is not a simple buffered IDE interface. In the PCB of the board you have two ROM sockets, IDE connectors & three MACH chips (this is the hotest part of the board).

Also, if I not remember bad, you need the ROM' risers to install the FastATA MK-III & Indivision AGA together. No way without risers.

About the fan.. I have now a pair of little Zalman fans inside of my last A1200D..... works quiet, not audible noise.....
