Hello,

(warning! very noob question! :shhh:)

I've two "different" A500 motherboards:

- All motherboards are A500 rev6A
- The second one have extra memory chips on board.
- The second one have some soldered wires

Why these differences? Different motherboards "sub-version" or just "human made"?

Thanks a lot
Xavier

Then, can I add an extra 1M to the second one to have 2M?

Yep, looks like both boards are r6a boards, but the second one has had an extra 512k of ChipRAM hacked onto the board.

The only way to have more than 1MB ChipRAM on a board like this is to use a different revision of Agnus, which probably means an A500+ Agnus in a Megachip or similar; or an A3000 Agnus and a lot of hackery to fit the extra RAM.
