Here we have a nigh on perfect condition original model Game Boy DMG-01 model.

It has had a white back light and bivert mod professionally fitted.

In case you are not sure what the bivert mod does, essentially it gives a back lit Game Boy a much clearer picture with more contrast.

Hopefully you can see the quality of the Game Boy in the pictures, but suffice to say it is in mint condition, no visible marks on the screen or on the body.

Interested, could you take some pictures of the screen in a dark room? Is the screen evenly lit as the pictures make the light seem to bloom around the bottom section?

Yes I did notice that the pictures don't really do the screen justice. Here is one taken in a dark room. Again, its not perfect and in real life it looks even better. All the back lights for the Game Boy have a degree of bloom at the bottom as that is where the LEDs are actually placed.

Many thanks, I shall have a think about it as that bloom effect would be quite irritating.

Perchance would you happen to be interested in a partial trade of this? Tis uber fun and would definitely tip me toward buying another GB that I don't really need

Incidentally this backlight is sourced from www.gameboymods.co.uk, and I believe you'd find their screens in most backlit game boys out there.
