Hi. What type 68000? Plcc, Dil? Also Gary how many pins, and what case? Try at Phanos Solomoy street?

PS
Ok, now I see cause Gary is in dil case 48 pin. If you dont find case with the exact pins, you can place two cases with 24 pins in line, who is most common. These fit perfect! The same for 68000 ic.

Bye Panos.

Another fine way to solve your problem is grabbing rounded pin strips. They are very common and you can make the socket in the size you want.

Agreed, get pin strips, or high count DILs and cut them down as needed. Basically, anything will do more or less...

But if you can't find them, RS or Farnell do them but they have minimum order values.

My experince with Farnell is that they do not sell to privat people:(
You need to have a company of some sort. And even though you have a company the order has to be a larger one before they will accept it:huh:

Here in Greece, we have an elecronic store who order for us from Farnell, even if you give him the Farnell part code directly!

I'totally impressed. Cosmos shipped the sockets 2-3 days ago.

Right now they're at my hands. Mailman bring'em at home.

France has incredibly super fast mail system.

Thank You Cosmos very much. They arrived safe with minimun cost and super fast. (y)(y)

If i decided to drive to the center of Athens i would spend more on fuel plus my nerves would be destroyed from the traffic.

@Cosmos thanks again.

@Mods this thread is history.....
