Hi all!

I have various memory expansions stored away for a rainy day and I was just recently going through some of them.
I managed to find 4 expansions that require a Gary adapter. However, i only managed to find one Gary adapter and
furthermore I don't have any idea to which memory expansion it belongs

Here's a highres picture of them all. Note that a couple of the expansions has had their RTC battery removed due
to safety precautions. Also, I'm aware that one of the two pins on the Gary adapter is broken so need to fix that too.

Can you please give me any advice on to what expansion board this Gary adapter belongs to as it doesn't have
any markings on it ?

Also, can you please identify this memory expansion ?

Thank you :)

Top Left Omega Datentechnik RE3 A500 2MB (1.8MB) - Requires Gary socket
Top Right 3 State A580 A500 2MB Adapter - Required Gary socket
Bottom Left 3 State A580 II A500 2MB Adapter - requires Gary Adapter
Bottom Right M-Tek A52MbZIP A500 2MB Adapter - requires Gary Adapter

now seeing if I can find where the Gary socket goes to.

okay the Adapter doesn't belong to the

M-Tec A52MbZIP (Bottom Right)
3-State A580 (Top Right)

so it is either the Omega Datentechnik RE3 (top left) or the 3-State A580 II (bottom left)

from the pictures I would say (an educated guess) that the Garry Adapter belongs to the Omega DatenTechnik RE3.

the wires from the adapter are NOT voltage rails - they are address / signal rails - so if you get them round the wrong way - you will just get a green screen - so switch them round and try again.

Excellent. Thank you for the information :)
When I'm going through them the next time, I shall try
that Gary adapter with the Omega Datentechnik RE3 expansion.

Cheers! (y)
