Genesis - Netconnect3 keyfile

Iv been trying to reinstall my ariadne 2 card and I found the disks and also a netconnect3 cd
The problem is when I start to set up genesis it asks me for my code (that would have been long since lost) but I have my netconnect3 keyfile on my drive. however, no mater where I put this key file it keeps asking me for a code to create a keyfile.
I have the key in sys: s: T: netconnect3 dir yet it doesn't seem to know its there. any ideas?

use genesis built into 0s3.9? I have netconnect and found that one with 0s3.9 better to use

sounds like a plan, I have 3.1 but could upgrade to 3.9 so long as it works with 3.1 chips. thanks
Looking at AmigaSYS do you think that would be better than a standard 3.9 OS?

it didn't, cant get my cd drive to work so cant update to 3.9. its attached to buddha, seems be working, but any disk I put in its says nothing is there

Easy way to do it.. if its a 2.5 inch ide drive get a caddy on your pc and do the leg work in winuae. if CF card same thing

Well, iv ordered this: [h=1]LyCOM ST-101L - Mini Vertical Converter Board - for IDE Device to SATA - MotherBoard[/h]from amazon so can stick the drive into a modern PC and do as you say.

Also im thinking in future to do away with hard drives alltogether if possible so i ordered a:
[h=1]CF Compact Flash TO PCMCIA PC Card Adapter Reader and a Kingston 16 GB 266X Compact Flash Card[/h]
I will try this in a bog standard a1200 iv got to make sure it works then will get a right angle adapter so can use in the tower.

but i still want to get to the bottom of why the cd drive doesant work as iv quite a few amiga stuff on cd.
if anyone as a cd drive using a buddha i would apreciate a look at your dosdriver for it to see if that could be the prob.
Iv set 2, one using buddha_atapi.device and one 2nd.scsi.device but both aint reading so maybe its another setting thats wrong

I was looking for one but couldnt find one that was right type. I allready had one from a pc laptop but that wouldnt fit, must been for a later pcmcia.

could you point me to where you got yours?

Ah ok, thanks. I decided not spend any more thou, will just use this pc card in standard 1200 i have and sell my tower before i upset the Mrs spending any more on it ;-)
