Hello there!
I've been on and off with Amigas since I experienced them via my neighbor's A500 all those years ago in the late 80s. We'd spend many days/nights/weekends playing Battle Isle, Lost Patrol, Lost Dutchman Mine and so on. Then another friend got one as well and we'd spend sleepovers playing Frontier. Good times!
I got back into the scene getting my own Amiga 500 before the retro craze really took off and prices were reasonable. I've tinkered with it on and off, but recently I secured an A2000 with a monitor and that's made my interest really go wild with the platform. Now the 500 is getting kitted out, and I've learned so much how to operate and use AmigaOS with the 2000 now connected to my network via a plipbox, using BlueSCSI as the hard drive solution, and slowly getting filed up with games and software. I even have a busted 1200 I'm trying to revive.
Seeing videos I of course had to declare my interest on the Dicke Olga, so I'm excited to mess with that eventually when I have my hands on one. Overall I'm loving the platform as it's a mix of nostalgia and discovery. Excited to learn even more about it!
