Hi guys, Well, like many of you here, I'm trying to get back into the good old Amiga after more years than I care to remember. As far as 'Amiga History' goes, I started with a A500 then got a A1200 then spent a fortune (at the time) getting it into a tower. The Amiga was the first machine I went online with!

I want to get a nice, fully working, clean A500 with everything needed to get up and running. I now live in Malaysia (I'm British btw from Surrey) so there is no way I'm bringing that tower over here. It's currently up in my parents loft in the UK. I was thinking to either part it out or sell it in 1 shot. 'sold as seen' ofcourse as its been up there for years. I'd even consider a straight swap for A500. But you would have to deliver the A500 to my parents place and collect all the amiga stuff from there yourself as I only go back to the UK once a year for Christmas.

As far as I remember.... This is what is up there....

A1200 motherboard in the tower, everything needed so that you can connect a pc keyboard and normal kettle lead power cable. catweasle? something like that. theres a CD writer in there connected up, there is a 030 accelorater in there, there is also a 14" monitor there. It has a XGMidi card which I made following a guide in CUAmiga many years ago! and thats about it. The only thing missing is the hard drive which I took out last christmas and brought back to malaysia with me to check whats on it. I've not been able to get it to read on a PC yet though.

Anyway, Thats about it. Anyone interested? let me know. getting that A1200 towered up cost me about a grand as far as I remember, maybe a little more and that was years ago. I just want it to goto a good home really, And if I can get myself a nice original A500 to bring here to KL that would be great.

Cheers.

Paul.

hello,

I'm sorry but you can't open your stuff up to offers on Amibay. you will need to create a FOR SALE thread and state a price and of course people will need to know the details of the equipment for sale.

any mention of offers without stating a price is regarded as silent bidding and I'm afraid it is against the rules.

Open a new thread in the FOR SALE or ask for a swap or trade. or ask a mod to move this after you have edited it.

I'm sure many people will be interested in a trade or cash either way.

thanks.

mike.

MJ is right. We do things a little differently here on Amibay, mostly to get away from some of the crazy antics you see in other places where retro items are bought and sold.

I'd suggest you do a bit of homework and work out what you'd consider a fair price for the item you'd like to sell, then create a For Sale thread with your chosen asking price.

Good luck with your (eventual) sale, that looks like a lovely piece of kit, I'm sure it'll find a loving home amongst our members!
