Gobliiins Trilogy is free today on Amazon Appstore for Android

Just a heads-up, as this is for today only (November 2nd 2014), and is likely to be of interest to at least a few AmiBayers: Gobliiins Trilogy is today's Free App of the Day on the Amazon Appstore for Android. It's usually £2.69, apparently.

Amazon's Free App of the Day is usually the same globally, but I can't verify that in this case right now, because not all of the global Amazon sites have ticked over to November 2nd just yet!

Anyway, I just thought that some of you guys might like to know about this one. (Should we get an Android Game Deals thread going, to match the PC equivalent that already exists?)

I can verify that it is NOT the app of the day in the US. I did, however look last night and saw a bunch of free games posted because of Halloween.

I can confirm that it worked for me. I've never tried the Amazon Appstore so just downloaded and installed it, logged in with my Amazon account and the Gobliiins Trilogy is free under the "Top Free" Apps section and also coming up in the Top free apps of the day. So maybe it is just for UK customers?

I must admit to having no idea - it's not in my sort of genre, and I simply recognised the sprites and title in the promotional banner due to hanging around here and other places where fans of the games reside.

The Amazon Appstore is a fantastic thing, at any rate. Aside from the daily freebie most often being pretty good, several things are cheaper there than on the regular Google Play store, and some games have alternate versions on Amazon that aren't as intrusive as the same titles are on Google Play. (For example, Zen Pinball HD on Google Play requires a Google Plus account to use certain in-game features, and to purchase additional tables. The version on Amazon Appstore for Android uses an optional service that you can fully opt out of for those same in-game features, and uses your Amazon account to buy tables - moreover, the Amazon version offers these for a bit less money, and at the moment actually has a few more available to buy, as well.)

But 330 Meg !!!

Yes it is a very large download.. much larger than I was expecting!!! Would be so much smaller to emulate in UAE with some ADFs for the original games! But it would be hard to play on a mobile as the original was mouse driven and the mobile version is optimised for touch.

Very strange about compatibility. I installed it on my Nexus 7 running Android 4.4.4 yesterday. My wife has an S5 so I might see if I can test if it installs tonight.

But wants to download even more and will not install to SD Card ?
