Hi,

I'm looking for a GPM 1701, also known as the M1764. I'm in the US, but will happily accept from a European seller too (either intl shipping or I can use a shipping forwarding service at my expense). Please let me know if you have one and willing to sell. Thanks!

there's one on ebay, but seller wants like <snip> for a monitor that doesn't even work. Amazing how some people are trying to make bucks from this hobby by inflating prices

I bought one a few years ago (from outside AmiBay) that was advertised as working, but it just kept turning on and off repeatedly. I still have it sitting around, but no one has been able to repair it.

Seems like this one has the same defect--maybe it's a common fault. It's a shame.. it's a lovely monitor.

Theres another on eBay.de now, listed as defect, but from my brief look, seller has not tried any repair

These break easily. Don’t ever run any resolutions that are out of spec.
If the seller has working RTG screenmodes set up, make sure to write all those details down.
I had one back when, sold it, and new owner broke it twice by running outside of spec resolution.

I bought it back as defective a few years ago, had a technician fix it, only to have it break again at first use of the degaussing button.

Too bad, it’s a very nice monitor when working!

Yeah, I'm going to be very careful with it and have no intention to drive it with wacky screen modes. Anything higher than 1024x768 on a 17" CRT isn't pleasant anyway to be honest, and that falls well within the scan range of the monitor.

Sure, but P96 lets you go out of spec when setting up even lower resolutions, so take care!
Pixel count is just one of many ways to go out of spec :)

Yep, that's true! I've set up modes before for other monitors that I can use as a starting point, and use a crappy LCD monitor while doing so to test them (y)
