Hi all,
Recently recaught the bug.
I just bought a 3000, but it’s a US 120V model. While PSUs for the 2000 seem fairly common, not so much for the 3000.
Not sure about using a step down transformer because of the Tick thingy.
So, I’m glad there’s people around who can take care of the impossible part of a project, because I have enough trouble with the difficult.
Anyway, in the past I’ve owned a 1000 and a 2000, both when they were new, and a 3000 some years later. But I didn’t have the sense to hang on to any of them so now I’m starting over.
Cheers

Hi,
Welcome to Amibay🇦🇺
Have a look at this thread, you maybe able to convert the A3000 PSU to a 220V one.

Be aware opening and playing with a PSU is a task with possible lethal consequences for yourself and your Amiga.
So if this is beyond your skill set, find a local qualified technician to carry out the task.

My own A3000 has the correct PSU for OZ, so I do not know if the mod works or not.
Reading the thread indicates that other users have successfully converted the PSU.

Thanks for the info. And I won’t be doing anything that might risk the Amiga …
Cheers
