Hi there
I recently purchased my first Amiga (A600) and I'm already diving to the deep end by making it as convenient as possible to use by modern standards i.e. memory upgrades, Gotek, new PSU, recapping etc.
My childhood was all about Commodore. My first gaming experience was Giana Sisters on C64 on a school fund raising event in the late 80s, which I paid 1 Finnish marks (about $0.20) to play until my character died.
Later my dad purchased used C64C for us. I never owned Amiga myself, but lots of my friends and relatives had one and I used them a lot mostly for gaming when I visited them (which I did quite often).
So Amiga is part of my childhood that I never had myself. Like friendly neighbour's dog which he lets you pat when you bump into each other outside.
I'm sure I have a long adventure ahead of me with my new companion and I'm sure this community will be big help.
