GVP A500-HD+ with 52MB hard drive and 2MB fast RAM. In good condition, slightly yellowed as pics. Tested in my Rev 5 A500 - RAM works fine and have completed several test cycles in ATK. Hard drive worked for a bit but now doesn't at all, although it spins up OK and sounds fine - you have to disable it via the switch on the top for the machine to boot. This could be my A500 or it could be something wrong with the drive/SCSI circuitry on the board.

This one has been set up to be powered from the A500 so your PSU will need to be in good working order (or remove the jumpers and power it externally) - no PSU is included.

Was £150 > now £80 plus shipping.

It may sound silly, but have you sprayed the contacts of the 50pin cable and other connectors? I've had plenty of trouble in my old PCs until I did that every so often.

I've tried contact cleaner in all connectors to no avail. I did do a bit more testing on it however:

-It boots from floppy using BindDrivers (Kickstart 1.2) every time and recognises and then boots from the HD, but will lock up randomly while doing intensive operations
-If I disable the onboard RAM on the GVP, it locks up straight away

I think my A500 doesn't like it, but can't be sure.

I have also the same expansion (not currently connected). I’m experiencing exactly the same issues, but that is due to a failing (original) HDD. It functions properly with a SCSI2SD board.
