GVP Impact HC8+ 2000 on Amiga 2000 rev 6.2 kick 1.3

Hi all,

I've got an Amiga2000 rev 6.2 kick 1.3 + A2620 installed....everything is working properly.

I also have a GVP Impact HC8+ 2000 with 8 Mega RAM...i installed the GVP into the Amiga disabling autoboot and scsi...just to see the RAM first...but i can't see no more ram than i already have (3MB).....

what am i doing wrong???

can you help me?

The A2000 can only address up to 8MB FastRAM. You may need to remove your existing 2MB of FastRAM, or remove 2MB from the GVP for the system to work correctly.

Actually, no need to physically remove the RAM from the GVP, just set the jumpers for 6MB. If you have a bridgeboard try 4MB.

Thanks!

Now it works fine...i can see a total of 9 MB....

So please help me in activating HD....i have a SCSI disk (i think i have to format it....)...
some questions:

1) can i install workbench 1.3 on HD?

2) my A2000 is kick 1.3....how can i use an HD?

Get the utility disk from Installers Heaven, dump the image to a floppy disk and boot from it.

After partitioning/formatting, put the WB1.3 boot disk in the floppy unit and on shell window type:

Copy from df0: to DH0: all noreq quiet

Repeat from the second Amiga disk (the "extras"). Done.
