I'm tinkering a bit with the latest AVI4HV and the HAMNEW.RUN on my A4K.

Theorically more resolutions are permitted since the older version, so I have done some videos that are 336x240@24FPS , in horizontal resolution all seems to be fine, but while it admits a max a of 240 vertical pixels I still got a thick black border at the bottom, I think that it should be more vertically centered as 240 is very close to the 256 maximum of the standard PAL LO-res...

Is it normal or I'm doing something wrong ?

It's normal, I'm afraid.

The only wrong thing you are doing is not donating your A4000 to me.

No, No, I'm not going to let it go, It's my precious!

Seriously, I've found that the HAM player seem to work happier forcing the amiga to NTSC, the 240 pixel height seems to fit perfect in what I understand that is the maximum NTSC vertical res in overscan, and also looks vertically centered on it.

What seems not to fit properly on NTSC mode is the 336 wide res as some HAM artifacts appear on the left margin like the image was a bit cut.

I've found also that on NTSC the small audio sync glitches dissapear
