Purchased in January waited 3 months and got told by ups I got to pay import duty plus handling charge of 99.42 GBP and the cards arriving (fingers crossed) Monday

So in the space of 12 months I’ve spent a fair bit of money on my Amiga jezzz defo love the old girl. finger crossed the 68030 and the zz9000 plus the zz9000ax all work l

Update :)
Now what should I get next lol it’s arrived. I’m think 2mb chip ram expansion next ummm lol

Edit:
Irrespective of the decision of the UK to either remain or leave the EU, those import taxes were always there. The triggering threshold was however significantly more than what they are today, and that is currently 135 UK pounds.
Next time I’ll buy it bit by bit lol

Did you not expect import duties? Seems par for the course in most/all of Europe.

I wonder if the next thing I order from overseas will get taxed?

I didn’t think about it to be honest, but should have expected it. Just means I need to consider it more when making purchases.

I tell you what. I am not used to paying import taxes here in the US, but when I received my A4000TX & AA3000+ boards the package got held up in customs and I ended up paying like $300 which was fine but unexpected. I looked up the laws and there is unknown to me clause that imports over a certain dollar amount and category trigger a tax. If each board was sent separately even with full declared value I think I would have escaped the tax man. Not sure. It was a surprise to me.

In this environment - who the hell knows.
I will find out the next Amibay/Ebay/Amiga purchase from overseas.

BTW ZZ9K is really nice.
I have pestered them to offer them in purple in addition to black.

I just posted in the 4000T owners group that my ZZ9000 has shipped and I expect to get it next week! No notice of import fees...yet.
Fingers crossed for you, Basicly so my shipment was not delayed UPS paid on my behalf not sure all despatch company’s do this so you may get a letter to say your items been held by customs. If the item is not shipped with an invoice or it’s a gift then they may not charge it’s all down to if the paper work is filled in correctly.

Why did uk left the eu...... mh?!?
I know :(

I'm going to say it...

These brokerage fees, duties, customs, taxes, imports, tariffs are a real wet towel to the retro hobby we enjoy.

I think the way forward may have to be to sell items for under minimum and charge significant packing and handling fees, which need not be declared on the forms. Some form of civil disobedience is overdue for this crazy taxation we're subjected to at every turn. Don't even get me started on inflation! DYK that the Amiga 1000 price of $1295 at launch in 1985 is $3823.27 in today's dollars? WOW!

Don’t forget to keeps receipts as you can claim it back if you ship back out of the uk

@DarkHood do you happen to have a a4091 or Re4091? I seem to be the only soul on the planet who has issues with both the ZZ9000 and a Re4091 in the same system.

It works, but there's some interference in native Amiga modes.

I’ve currently got for my 1500

Data Oktagon 2008 SCSI with 2mb ram,

Dicke Olga 68030 128MB Accelerator Card
Zz9000 with AX

So sorry not got a zorro 3 4091
but saying that if your getting cross talk and as the native mode need to use the ribbon cable plus extra connector maybe get your hands on the ZZ9500CX Denise Adapter not sure if it help but it might help to give mnt a call

Try giving all internal cables space from each other

It's an issue with the Re4091 unfortunately. The interference stops when I remove it.

is it like static noise or other? If it static noise it’s most likely the cable picking up interference while the machine on if you move cable does it get worse?
