Hi,

I have a vanilla A2000 which I'd like to add some kind of bootable storage to. I'm not looking to make this into an accelerated machine so cheap and cheerful is fine, in fact cheap as possible, please.

Anyone got anything available to sell? I don't need hard disks or flash RAM as I have plenty of those - I just need the interface card.

Would have been perfect apart from the A2090 isn't bootable :-(

You can boot it using a bare bones startup floppy. Just need to put the drivers on a floppy and write a small startup-sequence to boot it.

Ok, I'm thinking about it :) Do you have any info on how to create the floppy?

Basically you would start with the drivers on a floppy that boots the machine then use the assign command in startup-sequence to assign Workbench and the rest of the boot-up files to the hard drive. The driver floppy may even do this as standard, but if not you could use a copy of it or a Workbench disk to customize to suit.
