Just wanted to pop along an introduce myself to you all - or to whoever reads these threads. I'll try and keep it short and sweet as I know everyone has their finger on the trigger... or probably tinkering with 1's and 0's somehow.
I decided to return to the Amiga scene a few weeks back. Having read info from sites/forums, I've noticed things have moved on a good bit and modifications seem like a breath of fresh air - as fas as I'm concerned. I was an avid collector/player/lover of them way back when I was young(er) but sadly, like all things, they fall by the wayside or get thrown out when no longer working. I used to own a 500 and 1200 back in the day. When circumstances changed, I sold the 500 and threw out the 1200 as it wasn't working (...blue hue on screen, easily? fixed) but kept everything else connected to them... games, hardware, PD collection, mags, etc, etc. They have been sitting in a sealed box for god knows how long now and fingers crossed everything is in the same condition as I left it...
...which leads me to where I am now. I want to re-live the good ol' days, show the young ones what things were all about - or maybe just gaze and smile at my new acquisition when found (shall be posting about this in the Wanted section I guess)
Anyway, I've rambled on long enough so I shall again say hello and leave you guys to it. Great to be here and hopefully I can be the proud owner of a 'new' Amiga soon.
