Hello everyone,
I am passionate about the Amiga world. Between 1992 and 2000, I owned the Amiga 500, the Amiga 1200 with an internal hard disk, and the Amiga 4000 with a CyberStorm MK2 accelerator card featuring a 68060 CPU, a CyberVision 64/3D, a Multiface Card 2, and an SCSI controller—though I can't recall the exact model (back then, I didn't have the foresight to realize the value of what I had). My Amiga 4000 was primarily used to keep a BBS service running 24/7.
Today, years later, that same passion still burns strong. However, since I had sold my old Amigas, I decided to buy a broken Amiga 500 as a collector's item. I repaired it, and now it works perfectly. But I wasn't satisfied, so about a year ago, I decided to build an Amiga 1200 using the ReAmiga project by the great John Hertell. Still not satisfied, I also built a beautiful TerribleFire 1260 accelerator card with a 68060 CPU running at 50MHz (Rev 5). Everything works perfectly, and I'm attaching some photos of the build process.
However, after a year, I felt the need to close the circle. So, I'm taking on a new challenge: building an Amiga 4000 with an A3660 board and a FireBird daughterboard! I have already purchased all the components and am organizing the final details before starting the build.
I'll keep you updated!
