Hi All,
New member here. I started my Amiga life back when the Amiga 3000 first came out... I bought an A3000/25 right after they were introduced, and I still have that Amiga. During its lifetime it was updated with a PPI 040 processor, a Video Toaster 4000, AmiLink, DPS PAR, Kitchen Sync, DCTV, and more. It was used for several years in the early-to-mid 90s to do 3D animation, and to do 3D graphics for the emerging World Wide Web. It was used to make some of the first commercial websites on the Internet, including the Woodstock '94 site, Adam Curry's Metaverse.com site, and lots more.
It was also my personal (and only) computer i used up until about 1999, when I finally switched to a Mac.... but not before the A3000 was upgraded with an ethernet card and and Picasso IV card.
Over the years, I've sold a lot of the stuff (Picasso, Toaster, Kitchen Sync, DCTV, etc.) and the A3000 has sat mostly dormant in my basement. This past month, I finally pulled the A3000 out again and cloned it onto a WinUAE installation and exported all of my animations off the PAR. So I've just joined Amibay because I have a few pieces of hardware and software left that I'm going to sell. It's kind of bittersweet (and I haven't decided if I'm selling the A3000 itself yet) but I figure it is better to have someone use and enjoy some of this stuff rather than have it sitting in my basement.
So, I'll take a little bit to get familiar with the site and post some stuff for sale in the near future.
Thanks for reading!
