I am delighted to be part of AmiBay. I created my account many years ago but never did anything with it. My name is Bobbel and I was born in Osnabrück, Germany, in 1976. This means I grew up during what I consider to be the most interesting period of technological development, including in the field of home computers. But also in music, whether it was Eurodance or the “NDW” (Neue Deutsche Welle) or New German Wave, which was popular in Germany. My native language is German, and my English skills are limited to learning by doing, based on what I learned in school. For this reason, I love using the DeepL translator.
Incidentally, from 2017 until this spring, I ran the Restore Store, a web shop selling spare parts and accessories for Commodore 8-bit devices. As it all became too much for me, I closed the business. This was also so that I could have more time for myself and my family and not always be there for others. The Restore Store was just a side business to my main job. It was a very stressful time.
Now I'm happy that I can work on a few projects for myself.
