Hi, I have spent the last six months rescuing and restoring my Amiga 1500 and am getting there. It had been in the loft for nearly 30 years
when I read about the 'battery' problem, sure enough it was leaky but not too bad. I had to fit a new processor socket and give the motherboard a good clean. This made it bootable again. I have since fitted a battery, new PSU fan and re-capped the motherboard. Improvements have been fitted, a Gotek drive for DF0:, new external speakers and a ZuluSCSI together with Workbench 3.2 and ROM. I have also managed to get my original IVS Grandslam SCSI and 4MB memory card working. Looking forward to using Amibay!
