I'm a sorta long-time Amiga enthusiast. I got my first Amiga back in 2001 (an A4000 Video Toaster I still own). I nearly gave up on joining AmiBay while memberships were closed for a long time. I recently decided to check again. So here I am.
My current systems:
- A4000 desktop Video Toaster - fairly stock other than CF boot and a FlashFloppy. I'm also waiting on a replacement Zorro daughter board so I haven't ever upgraded this much.
- 2x A3000 desktops - with lots of upgrades like Sunrize AD516, BigRamPlus, old school RGB video cards, maxed motherboard RAM, etc.
- 2x A500 - with various accelerators and upgrades
- Video output mostly through either an OSSC or RetroTink 5x using SCART cables
Other Amigas I gave away early on but wish I'd kept:
- A2000
- A2500 - this had a weird Zorro laser motor controller with a bunch of jumper wires connecting directly to points the motherboard.
- The original box for the A3000 (lol)
I received four of the big box Amigas for free when a local science museum was retiring them and updating exhibits. They were used for running laser lights shows and first-gen VR displays in the early 90s. I also picked up another tricked out A3000 system in 2012 really cheap on eBay. That was a lucky find.
Favorite Zorro card:
Blue Ribbon Soundworks One Stop Music Shop Zorro (Emu Proteus MIDI card) installed in one of my A3000 systems. I haven't looked extensively but I've personally only seen one of these for sale and I immediately bought it.
Favorite accessory :
A2000 Cherry mechanical keyboard I use with one of the A3000 boxes.
