I'm very pleased to have found this active community, anyone else out there from southern UK?!
The main reason for joining is to get some advice - which I will be sure to post in the right section, in respect of RAM/accelerator cards.
I've owned an Amiga since I was young and the technology always fascinated me. I remember seeing one on display in Selfridges running a demo that played the theme tune to 'The Young Ones' - it blew me away!
Also very interested in other systems and my collection currently comprises:
C64 Breadbin
C64C
Commodore Plus/4 (x2) with 1551 Disk Drive (my original from back in the day) [still waiting for somebody to code a decent version of Ghosts 'n' Goblins on the Plus/4, I nearly cried on Christmas day!)
Amiga 500+ (my original from back in the day)
Amiga 1200
Spectrum 48k
Spectrum 128k
Spectrum +2
Amstrad CPC464 x 2 with Disk Drive
Atari 1040 STE with 4Meg and SH205 HD
Sega MegaDrive 1
Sega Game Gear
Super Nintendo
Original GameBoy
GameBoy Color
Gameboy Advance SP
Wishlist (to be acquired!)
Sega Master System 1
NES
BBC Micro
Acorn Electron
Atari Falcon (yeah, right!)
Anyway, I won't ramble on any more in my first post, but needless to say I look forward to hearing from you all at some point.
Best wishes,
Joe
