Hi all,
I had an A1200 back in the day, towered it up DIY style before all the keyboard adapters and the like were readily available (Microbotics 1230XA, Amiga 1000 keyboard connected via soldering to chips, verboard IDE adapter, Quad speed CDROM!)
Sadly I sold the system many years ago and had regretted it since. I have used emulation to get my fix over the years but finally I decided enough was enough and needed to get some real hardware again.
So now I find myself with 2 A1200's, an A500 and most recently a CDTV, which came with a keyboard.
I'm having fun playing around with custom ROMs and burning my own chips so I get large disk support out of the box.
I bought an ACA1221ec but it proved to be unstable, so I sent it back after having it only a week or so. 2 months on and I'm still waiting for it to be replaced
Looking forward to discovering what options exist these days to keep the Amiga alive and kicking, good to see there is still a thriving community.
