Hi everyone,
Hello from scenic New England USA! .. I am from north of Boston Massachusetts and love retro computing..
I have been looking at Amibay for years and finally decided that I should join .. my background is a long time Commodore user from back when they were the new hot thing in the 80s, the usual, Vic20/c64/128 progression .. then finally getting an A500 when they came out.. later moving to an Amiga 3000 .. both Amigas I still have (though the 3000 had the typical battery leak problem and is need of repair).. As for current situation, I am a collector of Commodore systems, I have several bread box c64s, 128s, a Vic20, Plus/4 .. as well as a recently modified {and yes it was very very truly dead before I did} Plus/4 with a Raspberry/Pi .. the plus/4 keyboard is functional and it now works better than ever, I often use it as a second desktop now.. I also own a MiST FPGA programmable computer which is allowing me to explore machines not available to me back in the day in the USA such as BBC Micro, ZX Spectrum, Sam Coupe, Amstrad .. really nice to finally "discover" those machines I often read about but had no way of actually experiencing.. I also enjoy fixing and repairing old machines (as my limited skills allow)..
