Edit: I never got to play with original c64 while growing up nor have I been able to source an original c64 for a good price. Supporting the acquisition and production of new ones seemed important to me but I want to incorporate a little of the old school stuff with the modern reproduction.

I'm looking for 2 working MOS 6581 that I can put in my C64 ultimate. I'd love to get the raw authentic sound instead of relying solely on emulation. I've messaged 1 person on here about that so far, just waiting to hear back from them about pricing and availability. I won't be able to travel for any events unfortunately, so the sid chips I'm looking for would have to be shipped.

Same here. I not had much of an interest in the C64 up to now. Ordered the new one, and found a nice boxed unit on eBay. Should be here this week hopefully.
