Hi, I've been an extreme Amiga User 25 years ago. Mainly composing music.
I always kept one "rack mounted 1200" in my Music Studio and it is fully equipped somehow.
(Blizzard 1230/50MHz - 128 Mo - Fast ATA V - Indivision MK2 - USB rapid Road - DVDRW - triple CF reader - SUM's USB Keyboard/Mouse - MIDI board - DSS8+ sampler board - Gotek FD0 + real floppy FD1)
BUT, recently i put my hand back on my old personal Amiga stuffs in my parents house....
After some weeks of blowing dust and booting trials, i came here in AmiBay to find some hardware to update the different setups that emerged from this treasure hunt:
1) Amiga 500+ native --> Green Screen : ordered some DRAM modules, new capacitors, and Diag-rom. Will plan future update only if board boots up.
2) Amiga 600 native --> Functional. Ordered new capacitors and new membrane (really dead one actually). Plan to make a Desktop WHDload config with Rom 2.05 and OS 2.1, RGB2HDMI, wireless mouse. May consider a Furia accelerator or ACA630 in the future.
3) Amiga 1200 + Mtec 030/28MHz - 8Mo --> Functional. Ordered new capacitors. Plan to make a Desktop WHDload AGA config with Rom 3.1 and OS 3.1. May consider a new accelerator in the future.
4) Amiga 1200 native --> Functional. Ordered new capacitors. Plan to make a 1200 Tower with Mediator and if possible a TF1260 , ROM 3.X and OS 3.9.
5) Amiga 1200 native --> Black Screen. Ordered new capacitors, and Diag-rom. Will plan future update only if board boots up...thinking of a checkmate case maybe...
Apart from those new Amiga projects, i will probably update my main rack mounted 1200 system from 3.1.4 to 3.2, and rework the design of the Rack Case. (You can find some infos about it here).
I own some 3d printers, have some 3D design skills, have an electronic lab, can populate complete board (THT, SMD). All those things are my playing toys!!! My meaning is it may sounds crazy and useless planning up all those Amiga projects, ...i know one Amiga gear could be enough,... but i like using my playing toys, and i love the Amiga !!!
Budget may be consequent afterall so i 'll probably sell most of them after modifications to balance financially for the 1 or 2 that i'll keep for me.
