My parent bought me an Amiga 500 in 1989. I was used to my Spectrum ZX 48+. It was a life changing event. I still remembered listening to the Out Run intro with stereo sound sit in front of the 1084 with my little brother.
Then I start sudying Science Computer in mid 90s, just after buying a CD32 to check the new AGA graphic chipsed and then Commodore bankrupt.
So, I swith to PC, the Amiga power supply eventually broke (after two repairs) and the Amiga was stored in a box (the millenium effect). The CD32 was forgotten somewhere (there was no games)
A lot of years later, for some reason I cannot remember now, I decided to search if there was a replacement for the power supply. And indeed there was!
And then I switch it on and it worked again! The unmistakable sound of a hungry floppy disk reach my ears like a celestial chore. And I I listen to the Out Run intro with the original Amiga... again (half of the floppy disk are not working, but the original OutRun is). Then I realize I can use a Gotek floppy simulator and a modern monitor. And the Amiga resurrected 35 years later.
And now Im trying to convert the CD32 in a working A1200 (and at the same time, be able to read burn CDs of Flint and Pimball Illusions, with average sucess). I have the A2000 keyboard, but lack the adaptor, so I logged in here...
